About the Event

Join us for the Suicide Awareness Walk 2023 as we come together to raise awareness and support for mental health. This in-person event aims to shed light on the importance of mental well-being and provide a safe space for open conversations.
Starting at Harmon Park at 6:30 PM, the walk will take place in the heart of Decatur, Texas. We encourage everyone to bring your lawn chairs and gather at Harmon Park at 351 E. Mill St. to kick off the event. Together, we will walk through the beautiful streets of Decatur, spreading hope and solidarity. You will have the option of the 1 mile, the 5k, or you can wait at the park enjoying the music of Dalton Torres during this time.
This event is an opportunity to honor those we have lost, support survivors, and come together as a community to encourage mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
Mark your calendars for September 12, 2023, and join us at the Suicide Awareness Walk 2023. Together, we can create a world where mental health is a priority, and no one feels alone.
We ask that everyone register so that we can provide you with a luminary for the lighting ceremony at the close of the event:
- $28.00 registration – includes t-shirt and bib to write the name of someone that you are walking in honor of (T-shirt pre-orders are no longer available, there will be a limited supply for sale at the event)
- $0.00 registration – includes the luminary for our lighting ceremony
- No registration – all are welcome to participate, we just may not have a luminary for the moment of silence at the close if you are not registered
