Greg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently pursuing his PhD in Social Work. He obtained his Bachelor’s from Arizona State University and Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. Greg is a Military veteran with over 10 years’ experience in child advocacy, working with foster parents and children, non-profits, vocational rehabilitation, individual counseling and drug and alcohol programs. This variety of experience allows Greg to help clients on a cognitive, emotional, and behavioral level through individual and family therapy.
Greg ascribes to an eclectic approach of evidence-based practices, including Play Therapy, Solution- Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR and TBRI. Greg enjoys working with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, conduct disorder, anger management, ADHD, suicidal ideation, depression, grief, trauma and PTSD.
His client population includes children, adolescents and adults. His experience with children and families guides his approach of focusing on a collaborative method, empathetic guidance, building strengths of the client, identification of faulty behaviors and replacing destructive patterns with healthy, safe and positive thinking.
